MUNICH OCT 2023

An outstanding experience

On The 7th of October of 2023 Africa and I went to Munich in an Erasmus mobility.  We stayed for 2 weeks and one of our teachers took us there. We left our city around 3 noon, arriving at Madrid airport around 4:30. Our flight went smoothly, allowing us to see a beautiful sunset from the plane window.  On the first day we visited the entire city center, museums, monuments and we tried some typical food of the country.

 Monday was our first day going to Robert-Bosch-FOS. That school assigned us a special schedule, giving us the opportunity to attend different English classes with various teachers. They welcomed us very well, both teachers and classmates. We attended English and economics classes (in English) and we were also helped in some Spanish classes. The facilities were wonderful, as were the lessons, which were very interesting and entertaining.

 We learned a lot of culture by having the opportunity to spend time with some students, who showed us other wonderful places in the city, bought us typical food from there and were interested in our culture as well. We also learned to take the subway, since we don't have it in our city. We made some mistakes, but by the second week we knew our way around. We also learned some basic words in German that our classmates taught us, such as how to say our age, our name, thank you, good morning, where I'm from,... We stayed in a very cozy hotel, which we loved, but it was a bit far from the high school. 

Our classmates from Spain sent us our homework and what they saw in class in order to follow the rhythm there, so in the afternoons, we studied. 

We had to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner ourselves, so we also learned a lot about household. In other words, we developed a higher level of independence than we had before.

In conclusion, it has been an unforgettable experience that we have been lucky to have, in which we have been comfortable with all the teachers and classmates, and in which apart from learning many things, we have increased our ability to speak and understand English.
